Your class, together
Open Classroom from Tools. Teachers create a class and share its invitation link. Students request to join, and the teacher approves their access.
Lessons and private answers
Share lessons and set tasks with a due date. Students submit their own answers. Teachers can review the work privately and keep earlier answer revisions.
Feedback that stays private
Teachers can save a feedback draft, add optional points, and release it to the student. A changed answer needs a current review before its task score counts.
Quizzes, with controlled retakes
Build and review quiz questions before publishing. Teachers may authorize individual retakes while a quiz is open, up to five attempts. The latest submitted attempt counts.
Progress in one place
The gradebook brings tasks and quizzes together. Students see only their own records. Teachers can export class results. These totals are progress summaries, not a weighted final grade.
Keep practising
After answers are released, submitted class quizzes can become private Study Buddy practice. Use flashcards and review dates at your own pace. Practice does not change class grades.

A little practice, every day
Open Study Buddy from Tools. Choose a private reviewer or a class quiz whose answers have been released. Your practice is separate from class grades.
Reveal, reflect, repeat
Reveal a flashcard answer, then rate your recall. Again brings it back soon. Good and Easy set later review dates. These are your own practice ratings.
Check your understanding
Try multiple-choice practice and read the explanation. Your private review schedule saves after each recorded answer. You can also revisit cards that need more practice.
Bring lesson notes together
Study notebooks hold your lesson text, a checked outline, and terms to practise. Import a text file or type your notes. Save private text to keep it in your account.
Record a short clip
With everyone’s permission, record a short audio clip. Pause, stop, and download it before leaving. Audio stays in this tab and is not included in saved notebook text.
Dictation is optional
Optional live dictation uses your browser’s speech service and may send audio to its provider. Review the draft text. It cannot transcribe uploaded recordings and is not guaranteed on every browser.
Review before you practise
Find key passages selects existing sentences, not an AI summary. Check the context and edit your outline. Add at least four reviewed terms and definitions to create a free private practice set.
From a class lesson or PDF to checked notes
New in 1.33.0: choose Take private study notes from a class lesson or task. It starts an unsaved private copy of the instructions with the source revision. Your notebook does not submit an answer and does not follow later class changes.
- Open an attached class PDF, or choose a local PDF in the notebook’s Import selected PDF pages section.
- Select up to 10 consecutive PDF pages. Local files may be up to 20 MB and 300 pages; class attachments keep their existing 2 MB limit.
- Extract and review the selectable text. File and page references stay in the text. Scanned pages, diagrams, formulas and complex reading order need your own checking; there is no OCR or AI interpretation.
- Append to your notes or confirm replacement, then choose Save private text. Opening and reading a PDF do not save a notebook or upload a local PDF.
Password-protected and copy-restricted PDFs are not imported. The 24,000-character lesson limit rejects excess text rather than cutting it. Cancel keeps the last completed preview and your current notes. Attached PDFs require current class access when opened; a saved private copy remains separate afterward.
Try it in your own account.

Free templates practise your own reviewed terms and definitions. They do not understand arbitrary lessons or replace teacher review. Browser recording and dictation support vary. Paid AI generation remains unavailable.
