Messaging rules & privacy
Effective October 29, 2026 · Messaging rules version 1
Respect the person on the other side.
Do not send threats, harassment, hate, bullying, scams, spam, impersonation, sexual or exploitative content, or illegal material. Child sexual abuse or exploitation is prohibited. Do not share another person’s private information or images without permission. These rules also apply to your chat name and photos.
Use JuanClick to contact people you know or have a legitimate reason to contact. There is no public member directory or random matching. A chat name is a way to find an account, not proof of someone’s identity.
You choose who can reach you.
New contacts can send one text request. You must accept before more messages or photos can arrive. You can decline, disable new requests in Settings, or block a member. Blocking stops new messages, reactions and typing updates; existing history remains available.
Under-18 members must have a parent or legal guardian verified by JuanClick’s review team. Only contacts approved by that verified guardian can start or continue member chats. Each child needs their own guardian’s approval when two younger members chat. Guardians manage contacts; they do not receive access to read conversations through these controls. The declared age group can be corrected through support. Identity, relationship and consent verification requires human review; a checkbox alone is not verification.
The original service chats remain attached to their bookings and reports. Family contact controls in this release apply to the new member-to-member chats. Wider age controls across other JuanClick tools remain part of the store-readiness work.
Photos use less data.
When you choose a photo, JuanClick resizes and compresses it on your device before upload. You can preview or remove it before pressing Send. Up to three photos may accompany a message. The original is not uploaded; an unsupported photo stays on your device and you are asked to choose a compatible copy.
The prepared JPEG has a maximum longest side of 1,600 pixels and a target limit of 320 KB. The server checks the image and re-encodes it, discarding file metadata such as embedded GPS coordinates. Images are protected by participant access checks, not public file links. Optimized photos are limited to 100 MB per sender. This is photo sharing, not an original-quality photo backup.
Private, with clear limits.
Messages are protected in transit by HTTPS and require a signed-in conversation participant. They are not end-to-end encrypted. We store message text, optimized photos, reply links, reactions, read positions, requests, blocks and preferences. Your public chat name and profile name are shown to eligible contacts; your email and phone number are not exposed by chat search. Typing status expires after a few seconds.
Unsent drafts stay in this browser tab’s session storage; prepared photos stay in memory. Closing or reloading may lose unsent photos. JuanClick does not auto-send an unfinished draft. Read receipts appear when an active conversation is visible and its messages are reached. A Sent label means the server accepted the message, not that the recipient has read it.
You can remove a message from your own view. You can unsend your own message for 10 minutes, which removes its text and photos from the live conversation for both members. Copies previously saved or supplied in an abuse report may remain. You can request account and associated-data deletion from Delete my account. Protected backups may retain earlier copies according to the main privacy policy.
Report a problem.
Open a message’s ⋯ menu and choose Report message. The confirmation explains that the selected message, its photos and your reason will be shared with authorized JuanClick administrators. Other conversation messages are not included. Reports can be reviewed and abusive content removed through the customer-service review queue. Reporting does not automatically block a member; the Block option is available in conversation options.
Report evidence is retained while a review is open. Reviewed report evidence is removed by the scheduled worker once it is at least 90 days old. Do not send identity documents in chat for guardian verification; use the customer-service unit’s designated verification process.
For account deletion, use the deletion request page. For privacy or child-safety assistance, contact every@juanclick.ph. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Messaging is not an emergency-response channel.
Notifications you control.
Turn on notifications on the reminder settings page. Unread messages and reminders contribute to the installed app’s badge where supported. Muted member chats stay in your inbox but do not add to the app’s message-alert count. Background notification text is generic; it does not contain private message text or photos. Background arrival and icon badges depend on your browser, operating system, connectivity and notification permissions.
JuanClick is currently an installable web app. Apple App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store versions have not been submitted or approved.
